Americans for Prosperity Applauds Sen. Deb Fischer’s Fiscal Restraint

Lincoln, NE – Today Americans for Prosperity-Nebraska, a statewide free market advocacy group, applauded Sen. Deb Fischer for voting against the continuing resolution that costs $1.1 trillion.

“We applaud Sen. Deb Fischer for showing fiscal restraint, a virtue all-too-uncommon in Washington, D.C.  Senator Fischer was right to reject a spending bill that continues to add to our deficit and does not address our national spending crisis,” said state director Brad Stevens.

“Congress continues to spend with reckless abandon and without consideration for what a growing debt means to the long-term strength and security of our economy.  We wish more members of Congress took this responsibility as seriously as Sen. Fischer,” continued Stevens.
