Litt says it’s clear Obama administration has no regard for Nebraska energy sector.
LINCOLN — The Nebraska chapter of Americans for Prosperity is calling on Congress to work to block the draconian proposed rules released by the Environmental Protection Agency on Monday.
AFP-Nebraska State Director Matt Litt released the following statement today:
“Nebraskans shouldn’t have to worry about whether they can afford to power their homes in the summer, when 60 percent of our state’s electricity comes from coal. With continued delays on building the Keystone XL pipeline and now draconian EPA regulations on power plants, the Obama administration clearly has no concern for Nebraska’s energy sector. Empowering bureaucrats in Washington to hike energy costs is the wrong way forward for Nebraska. Our delegation should oppose these proposed rules.”
