"Obama-Tester Failing Agenda Tour" a Huge Success

October 06, 2012

Crowds cheer the Failing Agenda Bus at MSU Homecoming Parade

The three-day, five-city Obama-Tester Failing Agenda tour drew enthusiastic crowds at every stop throughout the treasure state. The tour began in Bozeman on Saturday, September 29 as the fully-wrapped bus rode down Main Street as part of the MSU Homecoming Day parade. Many of the thousands of spectators who lined the streets cheered us as we rode down the street and handed out petitions, “Embrace Economic Freedom” bracelets and tossed mini-footballs. By noon, the bus was parked across from MSU Bobcat stadium for a tailgate BBQ where again thousands who attended the game could view our bus and many came over to greet us, sign our petition and have a burger.

Later that day, the tour made its way to Helena to take part in the MT Tea Party Coalition planning session where leaders from across the state as well as local activists gathered to hear presentations by AFP-MT State Director Joe Balyeat and others on the Failing Agenda. As Balyeat said at every stop along the tour,

“Obama’s folly is that he still believes in the self-destructive, big-government, command-and-control utopian fable proven false repeatedly by world history and academic economic research.”

Henry Kriegel, Deputy State Director, reminded the crowds that Senator Tester has voted with Obama 95% of the time including casting the deciding vote in support of the big government takeover of healthcare.

Sunday, we made our way to the KOA Campgrounds in Great Falls, a spectacular venue for a family BBQ. Attendees were treated to live music by the Balyeat famly, a barbeque and more fiery presentations. Monday morning we made our way to Lewistown to the 4 Aces Restaurant where a crowd of nearly 100 in this small Montanan town gathered for a noontime rally. We completed our tour in Billings with an early-evening rally at Beartooth Harley Davidson with our largest crowd. The tour was well received and the message was carried through local media.

Here is some of the media coverage from the tour:
Billings Gazette article
KULR Billings TV
Joe Balyeat’s editorial, “The Failing Big Government Agenda,” published in seven newspapers across the state
Joe Balyeat on KXLO Lewistown radio
Henry Kriegel on Voices of Montana, statewide radio talk show Starts approximately 5 minutes into the show.
