Bigger Issues than Who Shut Down Yellowstone

There are larger issues surrounding the “shutdown” than who shut down Yellowstone, Yosemite and the WW II Memorial Park– namely runaway government spending threatening our economic freedom. Facing the reality of $17 trillion national debt and $100+ trillion more in unfunded liabilities (Medicaid, Social Security, and pensions) is just too difficult for many people. It’s far easier to blame the Tea Party, Americans For Prosperity than to tackle the problem.

Tax Day Tea Parties and Gubernatorial Forum Cap an Exciting Week

Americans for Prosperity-Montana had a great last few days at Tax Day Tea Party rallies around the state and participating in the Lewistown Tea Party’s Gubernatorial Forum. In Bozeman, over 150 AFP supporters and Tea Partiers turned out on Saturday, April 14 to hear activists young and old speak out for liberty, limited government and lower taxes.

Is the Tea Party Movement Dead? This is the question that critics are asking. After seeing Congress increase the debt ceiling, despite our opposition, the rise of the Occupy Movement, and smaller turn out at Tea Party events, some have prematurely reported our death.

Apparently, they have underestimated us again! And now it's time to show them.

On Saturday and Sunday, April 14-15, AFP-Montana will be participating in a number of Tea Party rallies held throughout the state.

Bozeman, Montana — Americans for Prosperity, the premiere grassroots free market organization held a rally on Main Street that drew over 100 activists protesting the new health care law. The rally coincided with the US Supreme Court oral hearings on the constitutionality of Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, known more commonly as Obamacare, particularly the individual mandates requiring citizens to purchase health care or face a stiff penalty.
