Henry Kriegel brings 25 years of professional experience in marketing, public relations and grassroots activism to AFP-Montana. Henry has been an activist since his student days at Columbia University in New York, where he founded the campuses’ Young Americans for Freedom chapter. Since 2000, he has worked with Grover Norquist and Americans for Tax Reform in Montana, holding monthly Center-Right meetings and promoting the Taxpayer Protection Pledge. He is also a co-founder of the Bozeman Tea Party, and helped initiate the Montana Tea Party Coalition, a confederation of Tea Party groups from around Montana.
Prior to arriving in Montana in 1989, Henry spent six years as executive director of the Committee for a Free Afghanistan. Henry successfully advocated for effective assistance to the Afghans, who defeated the Soviet Union during the Cold War era. Henry also briefed President Reagan and his cabinet, expressing concern for the destabilization of the region if the U.S. also withdrew.
A former Montana-based small business owner, Henry also understands the complexities and pressures faced by entrepreneurs.
He has also hosted a radio show on south central Montana for nine years and can be heard Thursday mornings from 9:00AM – 10:00 AM on KMMS AM 1450 Bozeman, KPRK AM 1340 Livingston and on the web at www.kmmsam.com.
