Missouri native Mark Twain said, “No man’s life, liberty, or property are safe while the legislature is in session.”

MO MakingtheGrade 150x150 2014 Legislative Report Card

Lucky for you, Americans for Prosperity – Missouri kept a keen eye on the bills and votes that impact your life, liberty, property, and pocketbook while the legislature was in session.  Each and every day the Missouri legislature is in session, State House and Senate members propose and vote on bills that directly impact Missouri families and businesses.  To help you keep track of the bills that impact your economic freedom and how your State House or Senate member voted, we are pleased to bring you the 2014 Legislative Score Card.

As 2013 came to a close, AFP-MO launched a long term policy initiative called Path to Prosperity” aimed at placing Missouri on a track to greater freedoms and widespread economic prosperity. With input from our 57,000 activists, AFP-MO highlighted nine key issue areas to move Missouri off its current path of stagnation and decline and on to a Path to Prosperity. This is a long term comprehensive policy plan; therefore some years may see more activity on one issue area than in other issue areas.

For a refresher on AFP-MO’s Path to Prosperity, click here.

The 2014 legislative session saw major movement in a variety of our key issue areas including the first income tax cut in 93 years, the creation of a regulator review commission and Missouri joining 23 other states in rejecting the expansion of Obamacare in MO. We are confident with the continued input from our 57,000 Missouri activists we will see improvement in other policy areas that impact the economic well-being of Missouri families and businesses.

We hope you enjoy the 2014 Legislative Score Card.  You can print and share with friends, neighbors, and coworkers as well as review the votes your lawmaker made on key issues in the Path to Prosperity.
