Thank you for Standing Up for REAL Economic Freedom!
Jefferson City, MO – Earlier today the Missouri Senate passed a plan by a vote of 23 to 8 that would provide $1.7 billion dollars of incentives to bring Boeing to Missouri.
“Today’s vote is less about Boeing and more about the need for comprehensive tax reform in Missouri. We all want to bring great companies and well-paying jobs to Missouri; however calling special sessions to pass special tax incentives is poor public policy. Doling out tax incentives to bring businesses to our state is proof that Governor Nixon knows we don’t have a competitive tax system. By enacting the measures in our Path to Prosperity, Missouri will become an incredible place to do business and will attract many businesses and opportunities.” Patrick Werner, Americans for Prosperity, State Director.
Today AFP – Missouri would like to thank the following Senators who know the only way to attract more businesses to the Show Me State is through comprehensive tax reform.
Dan Brown, Rolla
Ed Emery, Lamar
Will Kraus, Lee’s Summit
Brad Lager, Savannah
John Lamping, St. Louis
Brian Nieves, Washington
Rob Schaaf, St. Joseph
Kurt Schaefer, Columbia
AFP – Missouri will continue to work to make Missouri a destination for all businesses without having to jump through hoops and navigate the political system to be competitive in our state.
