Texas Governor Rick Perry heads to Missouri for a Tax Cut Rally
Chesterfield, MO – Texas Governor Rick Perry will travel to Missouri to promote pro-growth tax policies that have led Texas to rapid job growth, limited government and lower taxes. These principles led even the New York Times to refer to Texas as “the future.”
The event will also serve as a rally to override Missouri Governor Jay Nixon’s veto of the first tax reduction in over 90 years.
“Governor Perry’s understanding of limited government and free market solutions to statewide problems is the reason why Texas is seeing rapid migration, an influx in job creation, and is continuously named as one of the best states to live, work, and start a business. Governor Nixon has failed to embrace the free market policies Missouri families and businesses need to spur our stagnant economy.” Patrick Werner, State Director, Americans for Prosperity.
