St. James Press Covers Sen. Dan Brown as Defender of Prosperity
St. James, MO – Americans for Prosperity-Missouri, the state’s leading advocate for fiscal responsibility earned additional media coverage for naming Senator Dan Brown as a Defender of Prosperity on their 2013 Economic Prosperity Score Card for the 2013 legislative session.
The Missouri Economic Prosperity Report card continues to make its way throughout the state’s media outlets as a tool for Missourians to find out how their elected officials voted on key issues of economic prosperity and highlight the Senators and Representatives who stand for economic freedom.
The St. James Press article highlights Senator Dan Brown’s A grade on the Economic Prosperity Score Card. Brown received a 100% rating from Americans for Prosperity – Missouri. The score was based on votes made in opposition to Medicaid expansion, Common Core education standards, transportation sales tax proposals, new utility surcharges, and in support of paycheck protection, the lifting of prevailing wage, and imposing spending caps.
“Senator Brown is one of the strongest advocates of individual liberty and economic freedom in the entire Missouri legislature. Senator Brown’s 100% rating shows his great support of the Missouri taxpayer,” said Americans for Prosperity – Missouri State Director, Patrick Werner.
Werner continued, “The score card was based on the key issues from this session that impacted our mission of smaller government, lower taxes, and policies that produce economic freedom. The score card gives an A, B, C, D, or F grade and percentage to each member of the Missouri House & Senate based on how each member voted on legislation impacting our 2013 legislative agenda.”
