Representative Fitzpatrick Honored as 2013 Defender of Prosperity
Jefferson City – Yesterday Representative Scott Fitzpatrick graciously accepted his Americans for Prosperity – Missouri 2013 Defender of Prosperity award at the Missouri Capitol in Jefferson City.
Yesterday, Americans for Prosperity were at the Capitol to unveil their 2014 legislative policy document called the “Path to Prosperity,” aimed at advancing legislation in nine key categories that impact the well-being of Missouri families and businesses. During the 2013 legislative session, Representative Fitzpatrick received an A (100%) rating on the AFP – MO 2013 Economic Prosperity Report card based on his votes on key issues such as Medicaid Expansion, Paycheck Protection, Common Core, Agenda 21, Transportation Sales Taxes, Utility Surcharges, Prevailing Wage, Tax Reform, & Spending Caps.

The Defender of Prosperity Award is given to Representatives and Senators who received a 100% – 90% rating on Americans for Prosperity Economic Prosperity Report Card. The Report Card, which is done at the end of each legislative session, was created to provide AFP – Missouri members and taxpayers with an overview of how their elected officials voted on key bills that impact economic freedoms and liberties.
