The general sessions included national speakers and experts from around Missouri to discuss:
- The history of Common Core standards
- What the standards and testing will mean for early learners and children with special needs
- How you can protest your child’s privacy
- What are your rights according to Missouri state law?
- What is happening to education at the federal level
- What is the future of education in Missouri.
Stopping federal education standards, advancing vouchers, and expanding school choice are three key components in AFP – Missouri’s Path to Prosperity. The Path to Prosperity document is a project that takes a comprehensive approach at legislation in 9 key policy areas designed to create an economic environment in MO for long term sustainable job growth.
