Pickleball: The New National Past Time?
St. Louis, MO – It’s a great time to be a Missouri sports fan. The Cardinals are in the World Series, Mizzou is ranked in the top 5 in football, and Kansas City boasts has the loudest fans on earth, but are Missourians aware their tax dollars went to support Pickleball?
Wait, what in the world is Pickleball? Pickleball is a game that meshes tennis, badminton, and ping pong played with a plastic baseball.
Carteret County, North Carolina, used $2,500 of a four year $400,000 grant funded by the health care law to promote Pickleball.
It doesn’t get more ridiculous than this! We must send a message to our elected officials that wasting our hard earned money to promote an unknown game is out of line.
