Jefferson City, MO – Americans for Prosperity – Missouri was highlighted in a recent article in the Columbia Daily Tribune when our activists set out to protest Governor Nixon’s appearance at Columbia Public Schools where he advocated for higher taxes for Missouri families and businesses.

SB 509 would modify the individual income tax rate table. The individual tax rate on personal income would be reduced by one-half of a percent over a period of years, starting in 2017.
Last year, Governor Nixon vetoed a similar measure that would bring tax relief to Missouri families and businesses. Governor Nixon’s insatiable appetite for your money hasn’t lessened over the last year and AFP – Missouri anticipates he will veto SB 509. To ensure you receive a small portion of your hard earned dollars back into your pockets, encourage your representative to override the veto!
