AFP-Missouri Recognizes 2013 Defenders of Prosperity
Jefferson City – Americans for Prosperity-Missouri, the state’s leading advocate for fiscal responsibility and prosperity, today released its Economic Prosperity Report Card for the 2013 Missouri legislative session along with a list of their Defenders of Prosperity.
Defenders of Prosperity members received a 100% to 90% grade based on votes made on key issues such as; Medicaid Expansion, Paycheck Protection, Common Core, Agenda 21, Transportation Sales Taxes, Utility Surcharges, Prevailing Wage, Tax Reform, & Spending Caps.
“AFP-Missouri would like to recognize our 2013 Defenders of Prosperity. These legislators stood up for freedom and liberty and their A grades are reflected in their votes. “It is important that we take the time to recognize our elected leaders when they do good things. These legislators stand out among their peers in Jefferson City as leaders who support economic freedom policies,” said AFP – Missouri State Director Patrick Werner.

“The purpose of creating a legislative report card is to provide our members and all Missouri taxpayers with a general overview of how their elected officials voted on key bills that impact our economic freedoms and liberties. AFP – Missouri is dedicated to free market policies that will improve the lives of Missouri families and businesses. Report cards shed light on who is standing up for limited government, lower taxes and regulatory freedoms and who is not,” said AFP – Missouri State Director Patrick Werner.
The score card gives an A, B, C, D, or F grade and percentage to each member of the Missouri House & Senate based on how each member voted on legislation impacting AFP-Missouri’s 2013 legislative agenda.
