Votes for Out-of-Control Spending While Missouri Considers Spending Cap

Washington, DC – Americans for Prosperity – Missouri announced its disappointment with the U.S. Senate for failing to pass a budget and rein in federal spending. Missouri’s own Senator Claire McCaskill opposed plans to get Washington’s spending under control, including Rep. Paul Ryan’s budget (H.Con.Res 112) and Senator Pat Toomey’s “Restoring Balance” budget (S.Con.Res.37). In the meantime, AFP-MO is encouraging the State Senate to rein in state government spending by passing the spending cap proposal HJR 43.
