North West, MO – Americans for Prosperity – Missouri, the state’s leading advocate for fiscal responsibility and prosperity, traveled to Chillicothe, St. Joseph, & Maryville for the third leg of their Bold Ideas Tour.
The group met with supporters in Chillicothe, St. Joseph, & Maryville to discuss how our Missouri elected officials need to implement bold ideas that will make the Show Me State more economically friendly to families and businesses.
One particular piece of legislation that we brought up at all three events was HJR17, which proposes a constitutional amendment to cap spending. Missouri State Director, Patrick Werner said, As an organization that believes in smaller government and lower taxes, we believe HJR17 is a bold idea for Missouri.”
Bold ideas in Iowa, Kansas, Indiana, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Tennessee have brought reforms in the area of taxes, healthcare, education, and labor that Missouri must look at adopting or risk falling behind in the competitive marketplace.
