Jefferson City, MO – Americans for Prosperity – Missouri’s response to the legislature overriding Governor Nixon’s tax cut veto was covered by ABC News 17.

Take a moment to read the entire article here:

In the article, Americans for Prosperity – Missouri State Director, Patrick Werner said, “The state legislators who voted to override Governor Nixon’s veto and pass SB 509 have won an important victory for the Missouri taxpayer and small business owners.  This Tax cut is an important first step towards limited government and away from the tax and spend policies of the current administration and previous state legislatures. We hope this is the start of serious budget reform including constitutional limits on future state spending so we can free Missouri’s economy.”

Thank you to all the legislators who stood up for economic freedom and a special thank you to all our activists and partnering organizations who worked tirelessly to ease the tax burden of Missouri families and businesses.

This is yet another step on the path towards prosperity!
