Governor Snyder Needs to Hear from You
Governor Snyder is sending out his constituent relations officials across the state to hear from residents about their concerns. He needs to hear from those that support limited government, economic freedom, and individual liberty!
Here are a few things to mention:
- Thank Governor Snyder for signing Right-to-Work legislation, reforming business taxes to create a competitive job creating environment, and tackling education reform by uncapping charter schools and reforming teacher tenure. But make sure he knows that more needs to be done and tax hikes aren’t the answer.
- Tell him to support prioritizing spending, not tax hikes for road funding. Start by getting government out of the business of picking winners and losers in business and end programs like film subsidies and the failed 21st Century Jobs program. Repeal state prevailing wage laws, which favor one worker’s wage over another by requiring payment of union wages, not voluntary wages.
- Remind him that Medicaid expansion implements ObamaCare and isn’t true health care reform–Michigan deserves better.
- Ask him to maintain local control of education and not support efforts to implement Common Core in Michigan. As a businessman, he knows that competition promotes innovation and cost reduction. Same is true for education.
