Medicaid Expansion Workgroup, Senate Summer Sessions

July 02, 2013

The Medicaid Expansion Workgroup, a.k.a. the Healthy Michigan Workgroup, will be meeting throughout the summer to discuss plans to expand Medicaid as part of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also called ObamaCare.

Americans for Prosperity-Michigan has argued that the so-called reforms within HB 4714 are nothing more than window dressing and directly implement ObamaCare in Michigan. We question the ability of the Obama Administration to implement the law as can be seen recently with: 1) the delay of the employer mandate, 2) and the roll back of requirements for new exchanges to verify the income and health coverage status of people who apply for subsidized coverage. The workgroup meets at 9:00 AM before the session as part of the Government Operations Committee.

  • August 14th – 10:00 AM
  • August 27th – 12:00 PM
  • August 28th – 12:00 PM
