AFP-MI: Enrollment Numbers “Just the Beginning of ObamaCare Nightmare”

November 13, 2013

LANSING — Americans for Prosperity-Michigan State Director Scott Hagerstrom released the following statement in reaction to the first official report on ObamaCare enrollment from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services:

“The disastrous roll-out of the ObamaCare website, the cancellation of millions of Americans’ health insurance plans despite the President’s repeated promises to the contrary, and the new permanent part-time 30 hour workweek ceiling are unfortunately just the beginning of the Obamacare nightmare.

“The number of ‘sign-ups’ demonstrate that Americans understand that ObamaCare is a bad deal and are overwhelmingly rejecting the plans associated with it.”

Reports indicate that 225,000 plans have been cancelled in Michigan, yet only 1,329 people have signed up for a plan on the exchange. For further information or an interview, please contact Annie Patnaude, at or (517) 853-9073.
