Group will rally opposition to Medicaid expansion during 7-stop tour

LANSING, Mich.—From Sault Ste. Marie to Ironwood, Americans for Prosperity-Michigan will travel across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to discuss the issue of Medicaid expansion. The grassroots limited-government group has helped lead the charge against a proposal to expand the Medicaid program under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Scroll down to find a stop near you and register!

“Expanding Medicaid would be the largest expansion of state government since 1967, when the state income tax was enacted,” said Scott Hagerstrom, state director of Americans for Prosperity-Michigan. “There are numerous reasons for Michigan to reject any type of Medicaid expansion. Most of those reasons begin and end with a federal government that has become too large, too intrusive, and in desperate need of reform.”
