Over 400 citizens attended the Patients First Health Care Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday evening. We received great media coverage and garnered over 350 new signatures for our "Hands Off Our Health Care" petition. Our panel of doctors, business leaders, and policy analysts set the the record straight on the current bills floating through Congress.

A recent article in the Financial Times has made light of the effect that town hall meetings are having on freshman members of Congress. Our own Rep. Frank Kratovil (D-MD01), and Virginia's Rep. Tom Perriello (D-VA) were profiled as members of the Democratic majority who are wavering in support of a government-run health care option due to the public outcry during the August recess. ANNAPOLIS – AFP-Maryland is encouraging all citizens to attend Sen. Cardin’s town hall meeting tonight at Towson University to make sure their voices are heard. The town hall-style meeting is the best way for constituents to reach out to their representatives and let them know how they feel about proposals being considered on Capitol Hill.
