Less than 25% of the Transportation Trust Fund Goes to Roads!
Maryland drivers are disproportionately seeing their tax dollars diverted to subsidize mass transit instead of improving our roads. Over 50% of total money that goes into the Transportation Trust Fund comes from the gas tax and other automotive fees.
Despite drivers being the primary funding source of the TTF just 24% of total TTF funds are being allocated for roads this year – an all time funding low. 48% of the TTF will be allocated to mass transit.
Drivers do you like how your tax dollars are being spent? Ready for Governor O’Malley’s gas tax hike?
