These public hearings, with a short window for public comments online, are the only opportunities you have to persuade the Maryland Transportation Authority not to raise taxes.

This Memorial Day weekend members of Americans for Prosperity in Worcester County let commuters know that a massive toll hike on the Bay Bridge has been proposed.

Worcester County needs every penny to go into its tourism industry to keep the local economy going.

Maryland Highway Tolls to Triple?

New proposals by the Maryland Transportation Authority would triple and double tolls in Maryland as reported by Michael Dresser of the Baltimore Sun.

Imagine paying $8.00 to cross over the Bay Bridge! Commuters who
go through Baltimore would see most rates triple as well!

The full increases would not take affect until 2013.
