ARLINGTON, VA – Immediately following AFP’s launch of a new TV ad exposing how President Obama used billions of taxpayer dollars to fund “green energy” projects and companies overseas, President Obama is once again directly attacking AFP.
“Once again, President Obama is lashing out with distorted, personal attacks instead of taking responsibility for his failed big government green energy boondoggles that have wasted billions of taxpayer dollars in pursuit of his global warming ideology," said Tim Phillips, President of Americans for Prosperity. “The simple truth is, American tax dollars should be benefiting American taxpayers, not foreign workers or politically connected companies and special interests.
ARLINGTON, VA - Today Americans for Prosperity - the nation's largest advocate for economic freedom, is calling for the General Services Administration (GSA) to be closed. GSA is tasked with helping other government agencies work more efficiently and with less waste, but has itself become a symbol of what is wrong in Washington.
News reports of lavish parties, Hawaiian vacations and a Las Vegas conference costing in excess of $800,000 might just be the beginning. The Justice Department has now opened an investigation to uncover gross mismanagement of taxpayer dollars and possible criminal activity.
Americans for Prosperity President Tim Phillips said, “The excess and waste of GSA, which purports to help other agencies streamline costs, demonstrates a disturbing lack of regard for the American taxpayers whose money they are squandering."
Rallies were held in ten other cities across the U.S., including one in Augusta, Maine. WFVX FOX covered the event and interviewed AFP's Maine State Director, Carol Weston.
The road to economic freedom starts here.
Join a network of AFP activists in important issue battles across the country, get the inside scoop with breaking news updates and policy alerts, and be the first to hear about special events near your home. Help us fight for a better tomorrow. Together, we can work for lower taxes, less government spending, and greater economic freedom for everyone.
Prosperity and opportunity begin when government gets out of the way. That’s why Americans for Prosperity is working hard to win major policy victories on the local and state levels and make sure your voice is heard loud and clear by our elected officials.
