Feeling Over-Taxed Today?

April 17, 2013

It’s hard not to think about taxes today. I think we can all agree the federal government has a spending problem and taxation problem that go hand-in-hand.

Because it is Tax Day, we at AFP-Maine have set up a series of e-cards to allow you to contact your Members of Congress and convey to them your frustration with the out-of-control spending and accompanying tax burden they have placed upon us and passed onto future generations.

Please use THIS LINK to find the e-card you like best, personalize it with your own message and then send it along.  We would love to hear about any response you get from your Member of Congress.  Please email us at infome@afphq.org or post the response on our Facebook page.

At the state level, the Legislature is continuing to work on the Governor’s budget.  As you may know, this process could continue until June.

I will continue to keep you apprised of this situation and all other important issues being debated in Augusta.  Rest assured that AFP will be watchful that the budget is balanced without adding to the tax burden on our hard-working taxpayers.  In the meantime, please remember to send an e-card to your Members of Congress using THIS LINK.  It’s our money they are spending; the time to stop the out-of-control spending is now.
