Senator Collins Votes to Continue Washington’s Out-of-Control Spending

Votes Against Ryan and Toomey Budget Proposals

Washington, DC – In yet another display of dysfunction and broken promises, the U.S. Senate yesterday was unable to pass a budget that would get our economy moving again. Despite proposals which put our country back on the path to fiscal sanity including Rep. Paul Ryan’s budget (H.Con.Res 112) and Senator Pat Toomey’s “Restoring Balance” budget (S.Con.Res.37), Maine’s very own Susan Collins (ME-R), failed to support any plan that would get Washington’s spending under control.
