Reform Education Spending Today!

Reform Education Spending Today!

September 18, 2013

Where does the money go?

Taxpayers invest a lot of money into our schools. Last year Kansas taxpayers spent more than $12,000 for every student in kindergarten through 12th grade. You don’t have to be an “A” student to realize our teachers aren’t getting rich. In fact the average salary for a teacher in Kansas is less than $48,000 a year. That means less than 60% of education dollars actually ends up in the classroom.

Sign the petition to tell our legislators: It’s time to reform education spending for the 21st Century. It’s time for innovation and accountability that truly puts education first.
