What is Agenda 21?
Agenda 21 is a plan to develop our communities under the guidance of the federal government and the U.N. Questions exist regarding whether this is an attack on individual liberties.
There will be a presentation about Agenda 21 and sustainable development in Pittsburg next Monday. Also, a national expert on this topic will speak in Overland Park, Wichita and Topeka, regarding the push of Agenda 21 in the name of economic development.

TOPEKA, KAN. – The Kansas chapter of the grassroots group Americans for Prosperity applauds the Kansas House of Representatives’ passage of a fiscally responsible budget for FY 2013.
“Americans for Prosperity-Kansas applauds the Kansas House of Representatives today for passing a fiscal year 2013 budget that reduces state general fund spending from the previous fiscal year,” said AFP-Kansas state director Derrick Sontag. “The House budget contains three key components found in a fiscally responsible budget: expenditures do not exceed revenues, the budget is structurally balanced, and it provides a healthy ending balance.”
Sontag said the remaining surplus could be used, in part, for much-needed tax relief for Kansans.
TOPEKA, KAN. The Kansas chapter of the grassroots group Americans for Prosperity (AFP) released the following statement in response to todays Senate vote on Senate Bill 83, regarding judicial selection.
This bill would simply require that nominees to the Kansas Court of Appeals be subject to Senate confirmation, similar to how our federal court selection process operates, said AFP-Kansas state director Derrick Sontag. This change would allow for a more transparent, citizen-based approach to the judicial selection process that is lacking today.
For years, the members of Americans for Prosperity have supported judicial selection reforms to allow for more public input so the appropriate questions can be asked before a judge is appointed, rather than later.
