In Observance of Memorial Day

May 27, 2013

We’d like to pause on this Memorial Day to remember those brave men and women who have fallen protecting our freedom.

Although many tend to view this day as just part of a long holiday weekend to kick off summer, we know Memorial Day’s true purpose is to remember service members who have given their lives for this country and her people. We honor them for that.

And after taking a break to observe Memorial Day, tomorrow it will be back to business in Topeka.

We want to take a moment to thank those of you who have subscribed to our updates, contacted your legislator through our action alerts, and continued your hard work as citizen watchdogs and activists over these past few months.

But we’re not done yet.

We encourage you to keep up the pressure to cut spending, allow the sales tax rate to expire as promised, and defund Common Core.

Thank you for all your effort!
