With the country focused on today’s elections and the ongoing circus-like attempt of Washington to take over our health care, Sen. Barbara Boxer is trying to pull a fast one on cap-and-trade, forcing her outrageous Boxer-Kerry energy ration and tax scheme through the Senate Environment and Public Workers (EPW) Committee this week, while the country is focused on health care. She thinks the American people won’t notice that she is trying to quietly jump-the-gun on legislation that could amount to the biggest tax increase in American history without even waiting for the EPA to run its models and release its official (and almost certainly unrealistically low) estimate of the cost of the bill and its effect on emissions.

This morning we wrapped up three days of exciting and successful events in South Carolina as part of our Hot Air Tour to let Senator Lindsey Graham hear from thousands of his constituents on the issue of cap-and-trade. As you may know, Senator Graham joined Massachusetts Senator John Kerry in an op ed supporting the job killing, tax increasing cap-and-trade policies.

So, we brought our AFP Hot Air Tour to the Palmetto State for events in Spartanburg, Columbia, Mt. Pleasant/Charleston and finally Myrtle Beach this morning.

Yesterday, as the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee began hearings on the job-killing tax increase called cap-and-trade, we're in South Carolina holding Hot Air Tour events targeted at Sen. Lindsey Graham on this very issue.

We're back on the road again this week with our anti Cap-and-Trade “Cost of Hot Air” Tour. This time we're in my home state of South Carolina educating activists about the dangerous effects Cap-and-Trade would have on the South Carolina economy and what they can do to stop this job killing, tax increasing legislation.
