Mark has a proven record of educating grassroots activists and advocating for economic freedom, said Tim Phillips, President of Americans for Prosperity. Mark will be an asset in the fight to reduce the government burden, lower taxes, and increase economic health in Iowa. AFP is proud to welcome him aboard.
A native Iowan, Mark grew up in Wilton and has worked throughout the state in grassroots politics. He is a military veteran that served as a US Army Infantry officer along the Pakistani border in Afghanistan. His previous work includes being the youngest-elected Wilton City Councilman in Iowa history and running the 2008 Iowa FairTax primary campaign.
The people of Iowa deserve to have a much smaller and effective government, said State Director Mark Lucas. We are going to work on behalf of the taxpayer to lessen their burden and provide them with economic opportunities.
I am looking forward to working with hard-working Iowans to demand that our government reduce spending, reform its tax code, and create an economic environment that will encourage innovation and job creation, not punish it.
