Americans for Prosperity to Launch Grassroots Lobbying Effort in SD 39
Citizen organization will urge State Senator to change policies
Indianapolis – Today, the Indiana chapter of Americans for Prosperity, the Hoosier state’s largest grassroots organization advocating for limited government and free market principles, announced a multi-front advocacy effort in Senate District 39 including TV, radio, mail, online, and grassroots activity. The purpose of the project is to underscore Senator John Waterman’s votes against basic education and workplace freedoms while encouraging his constituents in Senate District 39 to contact the state senator and demand that he start supporting these issues.
“Senator Waterman’s record of voting against core economic freedom issues is unfortunate,” stated Chase Downham, Indiana State Director of Americans for Prosperity.
“Senator John Waterman has repeatedly chosen to stand with union bosses rather than the interests of hard working Hoosiers in his district. Take for instance his votes against a constitutional amendment to protect the right to a secret ballot for union elections, his vote against workplace freedom by opposing Right to Work or his repeated votes against school choice and parental control in education,” continued Downham.
AFP – Indiana efforts will include paid advocacy as well as grassroots activity to encourage Senator Waterman to embrace the policies anchored in economic freedom.
