Americans for Prosperity: Hoosiers Spoke, General Assembly Listened
Tax Relief Package a Sign that Taxpayers Still Have a Voice

Indianapolis, IN – With news that legislative leaders have agreed to a tax relief package including a 5% income tax cut and an immediate elimination of the inheritance tax, Americans for Prosperity – Indiana recognized the General Assembly’s hard work. AFP and their activists have spent the past couple months airing multiple television, radio and online ads, knocking on the doors of over 25,000 Hoosier households, sending more than 7,000 emails to the state legislature and placing more than 2,000 phone calls.

“Hoosiers spoke and our legislative leaders listened,” stated Chase Downham, Indiana State Director of Americans for Prosperity. “A 5% income tax cut will make a positive impact on every Hoosier taxpayer and small business. The immediate elimination of the inheritance tax is another important step towards greater economic freedom and prosperity for all Hoosiers. We appreciate the General Assembly’s work on this important issue and their willingness to deliver on additional tax relief.”
