Indiana House Budget Proposal Priortizes Government Not Taxpayers

February 15, 2013

Indianapolis- Today, the Indiana House presented a budget that is in stark contrast to the pro-growth budget presented by Governor Pence. Americans for Prosperity – Indiana, the state’s largest grassroots organization dedicated to advancing economic freedom and lower taxes, has been a vocal supporter of Governor Pence’s budget and tax cut proposal.

“The Indiana House seems to be most concerned about growing the size of government,” stated Chase Downham, Indiana State Director of Americans for Prosperity. “It is unfortunate that government spending has been prioritized over providing tax relief to Hoosiers.”

Americans for Prosperity will continue grassroots efforts with its nearly 40,000 Indiana activists to tell state legislators that Hoosiers deserve a budget that maintains our fiscal integrity and seeks to grow the private economy through a 10% income tax cut.
