Our mission at AFP- Illinois is to advocate for policies that will reclaim our great state and restore Illinois to its role as the economic engine of the Midwest. Our goal is to see Illinois turn away from the current policies of over-spending and higher taxation to encourage investment and entrepreneurship again, creating jobs and good wages for Illinois families.
It was only a few decades ago that Illinois was a land of opportunity, the dominant economic force in the Heartland. Unfortunately, ever-increasing spending on government programs and government employee benefits, as well as short-sighted fiscal mismanagement, has created a fiscal nightmare that threatens prosperity in Illinois. What that means in real terms is that Illinois children move out of state in search of jobs after leaving their parents’ home; less good-paying jobs are available to Illinoisans; families have less money in their paychecks due to higher taxes; and government is unable to fully fund the core services to help the most vulnerable.
Illinois must turn from the policies of Madigan/ Quinn/ Blagojevich and even Obama have made life worse for Illinoisans and damaged the state’s future prosperity. AFP- Illinois is committed to restoring Illinois by embracing the common-sense Midwestern values that has characterized the Land of Lincoln for so long. They are the values that made Illinois a land of innovation in the 19th and 20th centuries and they are the values that shaped a young boy from Dixon, IL named Ronald Reagan.
Join our fight to restore Illinois and get the Prairie State back on the path to prosperity.
