READ MOREYesterday, Governor Quinn signed in to law transparency legislation spearheaded by Americans for Prosperity and State Representative Michael Tryon (R – Crystal Lake). House Bill 35 will create the “Illinois Accountability Portal” requiring the Department of Central Management Services to create a transparent website with information regarding state expenditures, tax credits, state employee salaries and state contracts.

If the "pay-to-play" of the Blagojevich era wasn't enough, we find that it continues today. The much needed capital spending bill was polluted with pork for politically connected campaign donors.
