Health Care Takeover: Georgia Responds Rally this Friday
Rally to be held Friday, June 29th at 3:00 PM on Steps of State Capitol
ATLANTA – Americans for Prosperity – Georgia announced today that they will hold a health care decision rally on Friday afternoon on the steps of the Georgia State Capitol. The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) is expected to make a decision regarding the national health care law on Thursday morning. The rally will focus on educating the public on the results of the ruling and how people can take action based on the decision of the court.
Speakers will include State Attorney General Sam Olens, AFP-GA State Director Virginia Galloway, Docs4PatientCare’s Dr. Brian Hill, Atlanta Tea Party Patriots President Julianne Thompson and Georgia Tech Professor of Economics Dr. Christine Ries among others.
“This decision will go down in history as one of the most momentous ever made in regards to economic freedom. We want our friends who have fought with us against this outrageous government overreach to have a chance to share their responses to this decision.”

AFP-GA activists have led the movement in opposition to President Obama’s health care takeover since 2009, hosting Hands Off My Health Care rallies and bus tours, in-office Congressional visits, Washington, DC rallies, district town halls and more, including a protest outside the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in May 2011. Thousands of Georgia activists have participated in the effort stand against the legislation.
