Education Task Force Listening Tour
Atlanta – Americans For Prosperity, the nation’s premiere grassroots organization for promoting economic freedom, is organizing members to attend the Georgia General Assembly’s upcoming Education Task Force Listening Tour when it comes to areas around the State.
The Tour will feature members of Georgia’s State House and Senate in a series of listening sessions to discover the needs and areas of improvement in public education. AFP Georgia believes in increased school choice that empowers parents to work with teachers to determine the educational environment that best meets their child’s individual needs. This model has proven to be overwhelmingly preferable in raising student achievement and preparedness for the future.
Members of our GA Legislature’s Education task force will be hosting townhall type listening tours beginning Oct.1. School choice such as support for vouchers/ opportunity scholarships is never represented if only status Quo establishment folks are the only Georgians present, which is often the case.
Take a look at these dates and see if you can attend a meeting or two. I don’t see Sen. Tippins listed, but I’m sure he will be at some of these.
