ATLANTA Americans for Prosperity Foundation-Georgia, the nations premier grassroots organization, will expose astonishing results found in a landmark statewide survey on school choice at a press conference this Wednesday, January 25th at 9:15 a.m. The release precedes a major school choice rally hosted by Center for an Educated Georgia on the steps of the State Capitol.
The survey shows the strong awareness that Georgians have about School Choice. It conveys that Georgia parents feel positive about education at the district level, however, many are frustrated by a perceived lack of choice. This is illustrated by the number of parents who would choose a different school for their child if money were not an issue.
Children should not be forced to attend a failing school just based on their zip code, said Americans for Prosperity Foundation-Georgia State Director Virginia Galloway. Every parent should have the power and freedom to choose the best education for their children.
In attendance will be State Director Virginia Galloway, Senate Majority Leader Chip Rogers, and other community leaders. Media are invited to attend and a copy of the report will be distributed to the media.
