ATLANTA – Americans For Prosperity Georgia, the state’s premiere grassroots organization for economic freedom, will release its annual 2014 Georgia General Assembly Legislative Score Card on May 1st. The Score Card rates every House and Senate member in the State Legislature on votes taken related to tax, spending and regulatory issues with an additional focus on legislation that passed or failed in the committee process but never made it to both chambers for a floor vote.
The Score Card will be distributed online, through social media, and in fairs, festivals and functions around the State. Frequently, lawmakers brandish it as proof of their “A+” free market rating or try and ignore the results, depending on the outcome.
Americans For Prosperity Georgia Communications Director, Joel Aaron Foster said, “Georgians have a right to know how their state representative and senator voted, beyond the talk, when it came down to issues that affect Georgia taxpayers. And their spending votes showcase their fiduciary responsibility in Georgia. AFP’s score card is one of the state’s most respected tools for holding lawmakers accountable.
