ARLINGTON, VA – Tomorrow AFP-Georgia will gather activists at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport to speak out against political games that are causing flight delays for thousands of passengers.
AFP-Georgia State Director Virginia Galloway said, “The Obama Administration is clearly behind these flight delays, punishing the traveling public and attempting to make the sequester cuts as painful as possible. In reality, the Department of Transportation has a bigger budget this year than last even with the sequester cuts.”
WHAT: “Keep Your Politics Off Our Planes!” Protest Rally
WHEN: Thursday, April 25th from 11:00AM – 12:30PM
WHERE: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
(Upper North AirTran curbside check-in area between N5 and N6 doors)
AFP activists will gather to help educate the public on the real cause of delayed flights that are wrecking havoc on a stunning 40% of airline passengers across the country. Many airline officials, industry experts, and elected lawmakers say the FAA has “other means” to achieve the budget reduction “other than to impact the traveling public.”
“Just like closing the White House to tours in March, these flight delays are an intentional stunt by an administration intent on removing all barriers to wasteful government spending,” continued Galloway.
