Parents Gathering To Learn & Sound Off At N. Fulton School Choice Town Hall
– Screening of documentary film and panel discussion with legislators –
A lively discussion about School Choice and the Georgia General Assembly action related to Charter Schools takes front and center at an upcoming town hall and screening of the documentary film, “Making The Grade In GA: Educational Freedom & Justice for All”. The evening will feature Senator John Albers, Representative Jan Jones, GA Charter School Association President Tony Roberts and others.
The event will be co-hosted by the North Fulton chapter of Americans For Prosperity Foundation GA and North Fulton and Friends Tea Party. Rep. Jones is the author of the HR 1162 Charter School Constitutional Amendment that passed the Legislature this year. Senator John Albers is an outspoken supporter in the Senate and Mr. Roberts has made numerous media appearances as a foremost expert on Georgia charter schools.
The film and discussion will reveal the social and economic impact to students of Georgia’s failing educational system. It will focus on the many School Choice options available in Georgia and the arguments for and against each. The evening will provide a summary of where Georgia currently stands in education.
“This forum is a great opportunity for people to learn about the way forward for Georgia education. Parents should be able to direct education money for their child to the school of their choosing,” states AFPF-GA State Director Virginia Galloway.
The public and media are invited to attend this free event.
