Sixth Annual Georgia Day at the Capitol this Thursday, February 16th

ATLANTA – Americans for Prosperity-Georgia, the nation’s premier economic freedom advocate, will host its sixth annual Georgia Day at the Capitol, Thursday, February 16th in Atlanta. Hundreds of activists from around Georgia will gather together to urge legislators to bring real prosperity back to Georgia through free market principles.

“Americans for Prosperity-Georgia strives to educate citizens on legislation affecting their state and how they can be a part of making a positive change,” said Virginia Galloway, AFP_ Georgia State Director. “This day will educate and empower Georgians to make a difference fighting for educational freedom, tax and spending restraint, and economic prosperity across the Peach State.”

The day’s events include:
9am – Legislative briefing held in Capitol Room 450
10am – Capitol Tour along including Lobby Training where you will do actual lobbying on the ropes, meeting many legislators on key issues and hear “inside baseball” reports on the session from key lawmakers
Noon- AFP/ALEC lunch featuring speaker Jonathan Williams, author of Rich State, Poor State
(Nominal Lunch charge is $10/person)
1:30 – Free Time and time for citizens to make Legislative visits
