TALLAHASSEE — The Florida chapter of Americans for Prosperity, the state’s foremost advocate for health care freedom, is launching a major new effort today as part of its campaign to bring accountability to lawmakers for their positions on ObamaCare. The latest round of television ads are focused on Rep. Steve Southerland’s opposition to ObamaCare and his decision to stand up for regular Floridians rather than play politics.
“On behalf of more than 100,000 AFP-Florida activists, we’re grateful to Steve Southerland for doing everything he could to fight ObamaCare and stop the deluge of rising costs and cancelled insurance plans,” commented AFP Regional Director Slade O’Brien.
“In Washington, it can be tough to remember to stand for regular folks rather than play political games, but Rep. Southerland has made the right call. He knows ObamaCare isn’t working and he’s taken action. For that, he deserves our support.”
The TV ads will run across the Florida panhandle on broadcast and cable for three weeks. It is part of a five-year, wall-to-wall effort by Americans for Prosperity to fight ObamaCare, which it has opposed since its inception in 2009.
