TALLAHASSEE — The Florida chapter of Americans for Prosperity, the nation’s foremost advocate for health care freedom, is currently running television ads in Florida markets to hold Reps. Patrick Murphy and Joe Garcia accountable for their support of ObamaCare.

Rep. Garcia ad:

The Murphy ad asks the Congressman to “stop thinking about politics and start thinking about people.”

“These television ads are helping our activists and average Americans not currently involved ine political process to voice their frustrations with the continuing disaster that has been ObamaCare.” said AFP Florida State Director Slade O’Brien. “Despite claims that the website is now working properly, experts warn of gaping security gaps and federal officials have admitted the payment system has not even been built! Voting for temporary delays on a political timeline won’t help Floridians avoid the costs and hardship this law is inflicting; only full repeal will accomplish that. The Florida delegation needs to get on the side of people this bill is hurting rather than thinking about politics.”

Americans for Prosperity has consistently opposed ObamaCare since it began working through Congress in 2009. Tens of thousands of activists have already signed the group’s “Exempt Me, Too!” petition at justexempt.me, asking for the same special treatment members of Congress and the well-connected have managed to receive.
