AFP-FL Commemorates Hispanic Heritage Month

September 14, 2012

Boca Raton – Americans for Prosperity’s Florida State Director Slade O’Brien commemorates the importance of National Hispanic Heritage Month.

Saturday marks the beginning of National Hispanic Heritage Month. Florida’s diversity of people and cultures makes our state one of the most vibrant in our country. Hispanic Heritage Month is a great time to recognize our nation’s growing Hispanic population and take notice of how it has played a significant role in enriching our progress.

“We are a richer and more vibrant place to live because of the efforts and sacrifices of our diverse and growing Hispanic community,” said Mr. O’Brien.

Over the course of this year’s activities, Americans for Prosperity has been growing and working with business, community, and faith-based leaders in the Hispanic Community. Groups such as the American Hispanic Coalition and the SW Florida Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce, have been an invaluable asset in our effort to educate citizens and mobilize.

Americans for Prosperity also welcomes over 1,000 new members to AFPFL that were registered at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando Expo in June. By continuing to work with and partner with outstanding organizations from all parts of the state we will continue educating citizens on the value and importance of Economic Freedom.
