Tallahassee, Florida—The Florida chapter of Americans for Prosperity (AFP-FL), the nations premier grassroots organization, is hosting a rally on the front steps of the Florida Capitol today at 2:30 pm. The rally marks the arrival of activists to Tallahassee for the fourth annual Tallahassee Days, three days of lobbying their elected officials about limited government and economic freedom.
The rally will focus on AFP-FL’s 2014 legislative priorities including the Governor’s request for $500 million in tax cut, the need for pension reform and increased school choice. House Speaker Will Weatherford, House Appropriations Chairman Seth McKeel, Senator Wilton Simpson and Representative Manny Diaz will all be speaking in addition to AFP’s President Tim Phillips and Florida State Director Slade O’Brien.
