Americans for Prosperity Unveils "Exempt Me, Too" ObamaCare Project
Today Americans for Prosperity-Connecticut is announcing the unveiling of a new Exempt Me Too website and petition. The website and petition are designed to highlight how many of the Administration’s political allies and other special interests have received exemptions from ObamaCare. In addition, the site creates an outlet for people across the country to call on the President to grant them an exemption as well.
“What is good for well-connected political groups and members of Congress should be good for the American people,” said Americans for Prosperity-Connecticut Director JR Romano. “With so many exemptions and delays granted to various special interest groups, I think the hard-working people of this country have every right to ask for their exemption to ObamaCare.”
This launch is the latest in AFP’s Exempt Me Too campaign, which focuses on Washington special interests groups and political cronies who have received exemptions from the new healthcare law.
“Despite the promises to the contrary, ObamaCare will not make healthcare more affordable or more accessible,” continued Romano. “The Exempt Me, Too site will allow the people of Connecticut to ask the President for the same treatment he has been willing to hand out to Congress and special interests groups.”
