Americans For Prosperity-Connecticut Releases Mailer Detailing Individual Breakdown of National Debt

Hartford, CT – Americans for Prosperity– Connecticut is releasing a mailer detailing each individual’s portion of the national debt.   During the Obama Administration each individual’s share of the debt has increased by $17,454.

“Thanks to President Obama and Congressman Chris Murphy’s reckless spending spree, each individual now owes $51,874 and each family of four owes $207,496 on our national debt,” said AFP-CT State Director, JR Romano.  “We cannot continue at this pace where we accrue four trillion dollars in debt in four years as has been the case during this Administration.”

Last month the national debt surpassed $16,000,000,000,000.

“From failed stimulus bills to the government takeover of our healthcare system, President Obama and Chris Murphy has put CT taxpayers on the hook for their out-of-control spending policies,” continued Romano.  “We hope this mailer shows CT taxpayers the literal price tag attached to these policies.”
